From the Delaware State Referee Committee (SRC):

The Delaware SRC is here to assist you through the new Grassroots Referee process and provide support as you gain experience and develop as a referee. Donít hesitate to contact any SRC member for help. SRC members and their contact information can be found on the Contact page in this web-site.

The US Soccer Online Grassroots Referee Course is a 4.5 hour e-learning experience that prepares candidates for their assigned tasks and responsibilities as a Grassroots Referee.

A new referee is required to complete both the Online Grassroots Referee Course AND the Delaware In-Person Grassroots Course to be officially licensed and registered with U.S. Soccer as a Grassroots Referee.†

All candidates must be 13 years or older to create a profile in the Learning Center and take a Referee Course.

DSRA New Referee Registration and Certification steps

  1. Create your profile in the US Soccer Learning Center

  2. Complete required US Soccer registration & certification steps

      • Online background check (18 & over only, $30 fee, good for 2 years)

      • Online training (cost $20)

      • SafeSport online training (18 & over only, no fee)

      • Introduction to Safe & Healthy Playing Environments

  3. Register for 2 required Delaware certification steps (in-person and on-field clinics) in the Learning Center (cost $80)

  4. Complete Delaware certification steps (outside of Learning Center platform)

  5. Upon completion of all Delaware requirements, the certification process is complete, and you will receive your badge.

  6. Contact the SYRA or State Director of Assignment to have your Arbiter account and profile set up.
